¡Buenos dias a todos!

Hope you all had a nice long weekend and are ready to get back to work. This week we will be focusing on how to conjugate and use "AR" verbs in Spanish. Hopefully, we already know what they mean, we just need to learn how to use them in sentences with our adverbs of time, places, times of day, with whom, and with what kind of weather. We will also be playing a few verb games for review, finishing our cultural notes, reviewing our newer verbs and starting a project that will include a drawing of yourself with pictures of 2 each of your likes and dislikes, a made up age, a random Hispanic country and capital, that country's flag, and all of that will be in color. This picture will be used for an oral presentation in front of the class. The rubric on how I am going to grade the oral presentation for a test grade (40%) is on the back of the directions for the project. There will also be a grade for the picture (30%), and the audience participation form (20%). This is a culminating project of many of the things that we have learned so far, so you need to practice for your oral presentation. We will be going over this in class this week and the expectations that I have for you. We will be starting to present these on Monday, January 27.

Last week we started conjugating "AR" verbs and had much success with that. We also learned new expressions, practiced more weather, and learned about some more irregular verbs such as "ir", "tener", and "jugar". We had some cultural notes also.

This week might be a mixed up week because of the snow and I might be out again to take my mother to the hospital for her back surgery/procedure. I will keep you all posted. It is a short week also. We will all do the best we can!
